The New Forest is looking beautiful at this time of year, and with the warmer weather, many of the free-roaming horses, ponies, donkeys and other animals are out grazing along the roads and verges.

If you’re visiting the area or heading to the pub, please remember to drive slowly and stay alert. The animals can wander into the road without warning, especially around bends or at dusk when visibility is lower.

By taking a little extra care, you can help keep both the animals and other road users safe. Slow down, be patient, and give the animals plenty of space if you come across them. A few extra minutes on your journey can make all the difference.

Let’s all do our part to protect the wonderful wildlife that makes the New Forest such a special place to visit.

Thank you for driving with care, and we look forward to welcoming you soon!
